What color dress is the MOB and the MOG wearing? My bridal salon suggested they wear the same shade of purple or lilac, but I do not like the idea of them wearing the same shade and neither one of the moms wants to wear lilac. The two of them were looking in the blue family and teals/jades. Do you think those colors would clash? Here is what my MOH is wearing if this helps.
i think any 'gem tone' color would work. maybe champagne, or rose, teal, maybe olive green? things like that..

Dn- your right- any gem tone would go since purple/eggplant (my color) is a gem tone.
My mother actually got a black dress. I was just glad she got something she liked. Who knows what FMIL will wear

I let them choose whatever color they wanted and felt comfortable in.
If you want them to match you'd be best doing different shades of purple. If you just want it to compliment deep blues, greens or neutrals are best.

Thanks girls! I want them to wear something they are comfortable in, and neither one of them really wants purple. Neither one of them wants a neutral color (champagne, silver, grey) since they both will be washed out in those colors. I have no problem with the blues/teals/jade/emerald colors. I just didnt know if this would look weird. lol

My entire BP is light blue and purple... so I want the MOB and MOG to wear something darker. I'm letting them choose basically whatever they want. I think the green would look better with your style and color dres... JMO

I was a bm in a wedding and we wore European lilac dresses with a lighter lilac sash. I thought it would look silly but it was actually really really pretty

I am doing a light purple.
My mom is wearing a black dress and I am not sure about MOG. My MOH can wear a different dress but it has to be the same color. Also flower girls are wearing the same color as BM.

My mom is getting a red dress and FMIL is thinking of a bronze or gold dress. I would not want them in purple at all. I want my BM's to stand out.

My MOH is wearing a light/dark (two-tone) lavendar color and my bridesmaids are wearing a light lavendar color and my mother's dress is an orchid color. I just did different shades of purple.

My girls are wearing the same dress. My sister and friend didn't want to wear something different than the other girls. My mom is wearing black and my FMIL is wearing bronze/brown. I didn't tell them a color to wear since they do not have to match the BP HTH

i love the dress first and the girls are rite, I think also if you use a gem one color with that color purple it would very pretty together.
