Girls with Silver Jewlery... TIP

I was talking to my cousin who has a bunch of Tiffany (silver) jewlery. She was saying she needs to bring them into get cleaned... I couldnt believe it... I dont know how much Tiffany's charges but it can't be free and if anything it has to be an inconvienece.

So for all you girls who dont know how to clean it on your own.. thought i would share what i use.

Go to walmart and get a silver tub of silver jewlery cleaner (its a liquid) its called 'CONNOISSEURS Revitalizing Silver Jewelry Cleaner' (its only about $3.00) its the BEST stuff!! my Tiffany's jelwery can be very tarnished to the point it looks gold and i just dip it all the way in and pull it right out and it looks brand new. wash it off with some water and soap dry and you are good to go.

**just dont use it if you ahve pearls with your silver

to do you you just add a tiny bit of water to the baking soda to make it like a paste. a soft paste. then you rub it on your jewelery and rinse. TA-DA!

FYI - Tiffany's wanted to charge me $20 to clean a necklace!!! And I was expected to leave it in the store and pick it up in 3 days!!! HECK NO!!!!

Silver polishing cloths also do the trick!

I hate the way Tiffany silver tarnishes - it seems to turn black on me when I wear it! My other silver jewelry doesn't do that! GEEZ!!!!

I had a ring at Tiffany's that I left there for about 8 months because it was such an inconvience to go pick it up!!!

They charged me $10 for the ring to be cleaned. I do love that they give it back to you in a little pouch like it's brand new !!

Re: Girls with Silver Jewlery... TIP

FH bought me a cladagh ring the first x mas we were together (like 5 yrs ago) and he got the wrong size, exchanged it and we both forgot about it.

Fast fwd to a year ago- he finds it and gives it to me and its all gold and tarnished. I used the silver stuff and its good as new.

I use it on my tiffany necklace all the time and the cheap limited stuff too. Just don't leave it in too long b/c it the cheap stuff may be plated. They also have a cleaner for costume jewelry.
