Girls with traditional ballgowns dresses.....

Are you wearing a big tiara or just a hair pin. My gown is really ebellished and my veils are plain, however, i have a tiara that comes to a point , not overly huge but I am not sure if it is too much all together. ( I am using a caterdral veil as well as elbow length for church and pics... well at least thats what I ordered LOL) PLease help and if you have pics that would be great also.

I am doing a tiara. It is not a small one either. I guess you can consider it big but not ridiculous big. I dont' have any pics of it, sorry.

my dress was huge, at first i wanted to do a tiara, but the more and more time went by, i found them looking a 'bit much' with my dress...almost promish or beauty pagentish...i went with a beautiful hairpin, when i have some pics of it ill post!!

my ballgown has very little embelishment.... rather, it relies heavily upon the draping of the tafetta..... so my situation is a bit different from yours...

I purchased a rather ornate cathedral length mantilla-ish veil. (I say mantilla-ish, becuase it instead of the normal lace boarder, it has a ruffled tulle edge....)

At any rate, there's obviously no tiara with a mantilla. I'll likely wear a nice clip in my hair, becuase the veil must come off after the ceremony!

Since they can see it in person, maybe ask your BM's and family if the tiarra complements or competes with the detailing of your dress?

I wore a rather large tiara. No veil. I love my tiara..I miss wearing it!

My dress only has embellishment on the bodice...so I'm wearing a small tiara. However, one of my friends had a very embellished EOM dress, and she wore several hairpins..and she looked stunning.

I am wearing a clip i don't want to take away from dress and look to over done....but i know if i wear one it would be a small one all even with no peaks....not sure it that helps
