Re: Giving a 'fake' as a BM gift....
Sorry, but I feel if you are giving someone a gift, it should be authentic, whether it's Tiffany or a Coach bag. Personally, I love fakes, just because I won't spend the dough on myself, but if I'm buying someone a gift, it will be authentic. Just IMO.

As long as you don't pass it off as real who really cares???? Especially for 'day-of' jewlelry???? They are probably only going to wear it once or twice.
If your friends judge you based on the amount you spent on their gift, how good of friends can they really be?

I completely agree... I can buy the fakes for myself, but I couldn't give someone a 'fake' as a gift... JMHO

My friend gave us a necklace and earring set from QVC and I love it!!! I wear the earrings all the time!!
I think fake Tiffany looks like fake Tiffany BUT why does it have to be Tiffany...you can do something else
I agree, why go Tiffany go w/ something else

Re: Giving a 'fake' as a BM gift....
Please clarify:
Is it a Tiffany Knock-off - like EXACTLY the same as a different brand
-or-
Is it a FAKE - like exact everything, including a fake Tiffany
If it's a different brand - go for it. Who cares?
If it's a fake tiffany, with the tiffany name - I wouldn't like that.
A replica is always better than a bootleg.

Ohhh okay I see now thanks for clarifying... so I totally agree with this. If it is trying to be played off like a Tiffany then I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't give them something with the Tiffany logo on it knowing it wasn't tiffany.
But if it's a totally different brand and Tiffany just happens to make the same 'type' of necklace then IMO, it's not a fake!! Go for it!

I agree totally. Fake is the way to go! I buy fake all the time, who wants to waste their money on something that looks exactly the same! I have more important things to buy!

I think they should appreciate whatever you decide to give them. If it is from the heart that is all that matters.
