My friend gave us a necklace and earring set from QVC and I love it!!! I wear the earrings all the time!!

I think fake Tiffany looks like fake Tiffany BUT why does it have to be Tiffany...you can do something else

How exactly is it a waste of money to get something authentic?

What exactly do they want that's $1000+? You could always get them something 'small' in the $100-200 range from the store they love and other small goodies. It doesn't have t be jewelry, you could buy your BM anything...it's a way of thanking them. But $1K is a bit much.

To answer your question, no, I wouldn't give someone a fake.

They dont want it...i liked it to get from them......

i just fell in love with the piece...thought it would look great with the dress/theme...and was trying to figure out a way i could get it from them...but fake was my only option....(guess its a bad one though)

But what is it? You don't have to get a fake...but it sounds like what you want is either gold or platinum since silver doesn't cost that much. You could do a 'similar' style from a website like BlueNile...I'm curious to know what the piece was.

I'll put it up for a few minutes....

Oh...rubelite pendant...white gold. Yeah, it's beautiful. I know what you mean. Sorry!

Well, the stone is called 'rubelite' and it's not that pricey, maybe you could get something made for them that costs under $1050.

I don't think that getting something similar is getting something 'fake'. If that's the style of piece you want, I say go for it.

Could you have it made? There are many jewelers out there that will do that.

Personally, i would not want a fake, i would appreciate an authentic one that is less money..for instance, tiffany has great silver. you can get them earings or a necklace for under 100. jmo.

good luck.

IMO... it doesn't have to have the 'tiffany' name to be a nice piece of jewelry!

I got my girls starfish necklaces as one of their gifts (replicas of the tiffany one) off ebay!! They were $11 each (tiffany was $160 each) and they look exactly the same! I got them the other day and they are perfect.

But, if you can afford it... go for it.

Lynn,

Maybe you could take the pic somewhere and have it recreated. I don't consider that a 'fake' at all.
