Glass Block Windows

Glass Block Windows

In my living room, my sofa is right up against a wall that has a vertical column of glass block windows. Today, I noticed that there is a discoloration on the sofa in the area of the windows.

Don't these kind of windows diffuse the sunlight??? How can I protect my sofa from being further damaged?? It's only been in that spot for about 1 1/2 years .. and I can't image putting up any kind of treatment on this type of window. Does anyone know about maybe tinting .. or any other ideas????

Can you place a throw blanket over the back of the sofa when you're not having company? This way, the sofa is protected from further damage and you can easily hide the throw when you have guests. I wouldn't put up a window treatment - glass block is too expensive and too pretty to hide. I'm not sure about tinting them...so, no advice there.

Sorry your sofa got discolored!

Thanks, Claud!!

Guess I need a bigger throw .. I already have one on the cushions because that's where our kitty loves to sleep!

I was maybe hoping to avoid covering the sofa up, because I love those couches so much, that I didn't want to cover them .. oh well .. it does seem to be the most convenient solution.
