I also posted this on the DIY board but i'm trying my luck here also.
I am doing glass etching on my centerpiece vases. I'm using the monogram i created on word. I need to know what kind of material is beat to trace my monogram on and cut out. The thing is, i want to be able to re-use the stencil after i rinse off the cream. I was going to use a vinyl material but it seems too thick to cut. Any suggestion!?!

Re: Glass Etching
I am actually going to do this exact thing for my vases on my centerpieces. I also have done stencil work on t-shirts, and posters and I have found that you do obviously need something you can use over and over. I found a water color pad that is obviously used for sketching or water color art work. If you go to the craft store they should have them near the construction paper. Just find the thickest one you can find and you should be okay. It depends on how intricate the design is as well.
If you want something really detailed, then you should probably choose something that isn't that thick. If it's something just like the monogram I think you should be fine with the water color paper. :)
Good Luck , and I plan on doing the same thing wiht my vases.
I can't wait to see how your vases turn out!
I found a pic of the pad that I used. This is the exact paper.

Re: Glass Etching
Thanks so much. I'm going to go to Michael's tomorrow and see if they have the book. I will definitely post pics when the vases are done providing I LEARN how to post pics on here. That's a whole other issue
