Glen Cove Mansion
We're staying there night before wedding and night of. I know some of you expressed some concern about a few things regarding room reservations there.
The bridal suites are reserved for brides getting married there but you can get one and they'll give you some notice if no wedding that day/night and it's being used. I am fine with a regular room- love the place anyway.
Also, I just checked and even if you are not getting married there, facilities such as pool and tennis courts are guest amenities so they are able to be utilized by you and your guests. I think reserving a part of the grounds for organized sports or a picnic is a no-no as brides of the mansion may be using for pics of even other brides who paid a fee for the grounds.
We planned events like lounging at pool and tennis matches and even advised guests of local golf courses- so all things that will not conflict with a wedding on premises. Plus rehearsal dinner will be off the Mansion grounds.
It is also complete use of the grounds for photos that you are charged for, not ones in your room or a few here or there as you get ready.
For the price, location and beauty I am happy with my choice. Plus, I am a tennis nut so as long as the courts are avail- I am happy![]()
