Glen Island Thread

Hey Glen Island girls!!!
I am going tomorrow w/ my paretns and FH to FINALIZE THE MENU!!!!!
i am so excited. I will definately report back with some deatils b/c I know we were all wondering if the menu had any changes recently. I am assuming I get to pick out the cake and everything. Does anyone know how they are with the cake designs. Mine is included in my contract. I was just wondering if they are flexiable in what they can create?

How did it go?
I'm going to pick my menu on tuesday (with less than two weeks to the wedding...aah!)

Were the cake options ok?

Hi Ladies! So I am a GI 2007 Bride! I love the fact there is a thread for them. I've been a little nervous about booking there because of the price, but I have no doubt now that it is going to be well worth it. I'll be looking for all of the planning advice I can get. If anyone has any church suggestions please let me know.... lol I think that is my chore right now. want to find a place in New Rochelle because my family is travelling from all over, but don't want to use the GI ceremony room. So far... it hasn't been the best search.

Everything went good last weekend!!! We are all set to go w/ Glen Island. Roco is awesome!!!!

My wedding was 5 weeks ago and can I just tell you that Glen Island puts on a great show!!!

People are still calling us to say how amazing it was. I posted a few pics in my album, more to come. Good Luck ladies, you are in for the party of your life.

Recently I was doubting my venue choice. Thought perhaps I should have gone with some place in Manhattan.

Went to visit the site and fell in love all over again. GI is even more beautiful in the summer. The last time I had gone was in like February.

YUP!!!! WE certainly do!!!

Angelina....you should ask the florist! They suggested the greek church i'm getting married in and the Priest is AWESOME!!! I couldn't be happier. Speak to Sammy at Arcadia.

Well a friend of mine just went to a wedding at glenn island this past weekend....and this is what she said.....

'Hi! I've been meaning to tell you all about Glen Island. Thanks for
reminding me. The wedding was absolutely beautiful!!!!! I can't say one
bad
thing about the place. When we first got there we were excorted into
the
main hallway at the bottom of the stairs. They passed out champagne as
we
waited for the ceremony. The room for the ceremony is incredible! All
windows with an amazing view of the sound. The cocktail hour was
downstairs.
The food was soooooo good. They had a pasta station, chinese station,
seafood station, etc. Awesome!!! The reception was in the room
upstairs. The
room was huge. I think this wedding had over 250 people and you didnt
feel
the slightest bit crowded. Her bridal attendant was so attentive also.
They
were on top of everything! Honestly...you should feel so great about
having
your wedding there. Everything was perfect! And the place is so
beautiful!!!

Did you book any of your vendors yet?

Yes your getting married a week before me at GIHC!! Congrats - we have a busy year ahead of us.
I feel like I have a million things to do!
AS for vendors I have my video/photo

Next step is Flowers (we have to use one of theirs )) & limos

Things have been so hectic since the wedding, I have not been on Liweddings mucg...and I misss it!!!
