Glen Island Wedding Fri- w.pics.

We went to my friend from college Danielle's wedding on Friday at Glen Island Harbor Club- it was pouring so we couldn't enjoy the view and outside but it was still nice. Unfortunately we missed almost the whole cocktail hour because the shuttle from the hotel was in traffic. I only tried 1 pasta but it was really good! The room was nice but again couldnt enjoy the views. 1 thing was that she had very light colored low centerpieces and you couldnt notice them at all. I think you need something with color in that room to stand out. The food was very good- I had filet mingon and FH had a mushroom stuffed chicken. The waiter was fine- didn't take drink orders but then again our table was directly next to the bar so I guess it wasnt really necessary! They had a dj which we weren't crazy about (not just cause we have a band) but he was yelling into the microphone! :( They did have a drummer too which was cool and I even played them- see pics.! )
Not sure if Im forgetting any other details - overall we had a nice time!

OMG! I was there on friday nite too! For my college's roomate wedding in the rose room....that's tooo funny! What a small world!

I am getting married at Glen Island.. and i am going to book a hotel up there.. which one did she have you guys stay at.. i don't want to have the same issues.

She made arrangement at the Rye Town Hilton which is about 25 minutes North of Glen Island. We really didnt know why because we came from LI to go past Glen Island just to go back to Glen Island so I would def. find something closer to Glen Island- a lot of people either missed or were late to her CH!
