Trying to pick between Glen Island and Tarrytown house. Is one considered nicer or about the same? Any positives or negatives of either are appreciated. From asking around, most people have heard about Tappan Hill and The Castle but not Tarrytown House
We looked at Glen Island and it was very nice. Tarrytown House is also nice but I think it's a bit more expensive than Glen Island. The surrounding grounds around both halls are beautiful. I think Tarrytown House has an on-site hotel so that may be more convenient for your guests. The food at Glen Island is very good but haven't gone to anything at Tarrytown House so I can't vouch for them.
Haven't been to a wedding at Tarrytown House, but have stayed at the hotel a number of times and absolutely love it. The staff is wonderful. We considered having our wedding there and met with a banquet manager, but it was a little pricey - for us, not sure what your price range is. Plus we have too many guests from LI and Queens. But I saw them setting up for a wedding and it is a beautiful place. Good luck.
