Glenmar vs Patkin for photographers
Ok I am looking at these two places. For those who are using them, can you tell me:Why you choose that particular place?
What package are you using and why?
How many proofs you are getting?
Are you using more than one photographer?
Are you getting black and white as well as color?
Which photographer are you using and why?
Are you getting your video there as well?
If you are not using them for your video why did you go elsewhere?
Anything else?
Oh, and if it is not too personal what range was your package in?
Thank you for your help

Wow i feel defferent, LOL. We are using Glenmar. We decided to go with them, because they were the best deal for us, and they showed us a lot of work they did with our hall. We also felt very comfortable with them. Our package was pretty much made up. We are using them for video as well, and our price total was around 3000. We didnt ask for black and white. I never looked at Patken so i cant compare, but i hear great things. And we are getting around 300 proofs i believe.

Re: Glenmar vs Patkin for photographers
We used Glenmar and were very happy from start to finish. They offered us the best package with the most photos for the best price ($2,495). We also felt very comfortable with the fact that they knew our reception place very well, and because of timing, we were taking most of our photos at the cocktail hour and reception place. We got over 400 proofs. Each and every one of them were wonderful. Don't quote me here (memory is fading a little!), but our package included an 11x14, (2) 8x10's, (50) wallets, (2) parents albums with 18 5x7's each, and our main album, any choice of style, with 40 pictures. We did some black and whites, and had our 11x14 portrait hand-painted with a splash of color.
Our photographer was Mike. He was awesome with our large group. At the reception, he stayed until the end, and we hardly knew he was there. He captured some great candid shots.
We got our albums in less than 3 months (we got married in May and had our proofs 2 weeks later. We went in to do our album in mid-July and had our albums ready in mid-October!). They did an excellent job and we were very happy.
P.S. We didn't look much further after seeing them, so we never looked into Patken. We did see JoVon, DeJa Vu and Cassarino before booking Glenmar.

Re: Glenmar vs Patkin for photographers
We booked Glenmar Studio. They were very nice and accommodating to us. They were also recommended by my hall (Woodbury CC) and I felt pretty comfortable with them. I only looked at one another photographer, Cassarino and went right back to Glenmar.I think we are getting around 400 proofs. We are getting some black and white as part of our package. We are also getting 1 album, 2 parent, 1 8x10, 3 5x7's, 4 5x7's for the bridal party, 75 wallets. We are paying around $2,600 and we booked them in Nov 2001.
