Glue problems

Glue problems

So I have this fairly thick ribbon that I'm wrapping the invite in, and I'm using tacky glue (Arlene's Tacky Glue, clear, the Elmer's of crafting). The ribbon has metallic threads covering the back. The problem is that the glue leaves a sort of dent in the cardstock (not sure if you can see it in the pic, look at the top flap, it's worse than the pic makes it look). Can anyone recommend a different glue?

Re: Glue problems

glue dots would work well.

You could always try a crafting/artist's doublestick tape (not the typical scotch brand you'd buy at CVS or something)

And for the more complicated-but-guaranteed-to survive-anything option... spray mount. Comes in a can, stick to EVERYTHING@

glue dots or lines found in scrap booking sections
