Gluten Free Cakes

Does anyone know of a bakery that does gluten free cakes? My MOH's birthday is right before the wedding and I wanted to get her a cake for the RD but she is allergic to gluten! Any help would be appreciated! TIA

You can run an internet search, there are definitely bakeries out there that do gluten-free. If you live near NYC, go to Babycakes! Try also searching for vegan bakeries.

i second Babycakes! my sister is allergic to wheat, just only found out a year ago so for her 21st birthday i got her cake from babycakes. it was delicious. she had 20 years of cake eating to compare it to. my nephew & nieces (all under the age of 7) enjoyed it too.

tell your caterer - my caterer helped make one entree and many CH dishes gluten-free for my sister, and they made her a special dessert since she couldn't eat the regular wedding cake.

You could get her a flourless chocolate cake from any bakery there is no gluten.

My mom has Celiac Disease.... she made herself some concoction of Gluten Free cake slash brownies the other day and it was awesome... i think i will have my sister make her cup cakes or a small cake so she can have some that day

Babycakes is AMAZING!
I go there as often as possible. they make PERFECT, delicious cakes!
They also ust published a cookbook in case your caterer wants to take a look... i've tried many of the recipes and they come out great!
good luck!
