Oh my gosh! I have celiac disease as well as my mom. Haven't decided on what we are doing for a cake yet. Also, I havent really been following the diet as well as I should, so I have to get on it!

Black Forest Bakery in Lindenhurst makes Gluten Free cakes... but regardless... if you stick to the diet truly (my mom does) none of the cake can even be touched by something thats not cluten free...

How bad do you have it? My secretary only has a mild form, but my neighbor can not have anything that has been near gluten. FYI Play Doh has gluten in it, and it can absorb through the skin.

How bout a crustless cheesecake? FH and I going with cheesecake because we love it, but I think it is gluten free.

I had a GF tier at my wedding from Black Forest. I spoke to the baker there and they assured me that they baked the non GF layers first annd put a plate between the GF/non GF tiers so that they dont touch.
But be forewarned, the GF tier was kinda gross...IMO.
