I am going to get married at Temple Israel of Jamaica. I figure we had to join to get the rabbi and the cantor to marry us, so why not get married there. We found a great caterer, too.

Throw me a freaking bone MTA...I am just trying to get to work to make $ and pay for my wedding!!!!!

Heather....I almost called you to see if you were late so we can meet up for breakfast. I figured we were already late!!! But then there is a freaking gas leak on my corner so I figured my boss would be looking out the window (and not working) and would see me pass by!!!

GMB. What a freaking miserable morning. I was over an hour late for work b/c the Lawrence Street R station was flooded, they re-routed the R over the bridge to Canal, but couldn't pull into the station for an hour b/c it was semi-flooded too. And the Prince street station is also closed. the messed up thing is, I got the 'Good' commute, i actually made it to work. FH called a few minutes ago- he is on a bus stuck in traffic in Brooklyn- by the time he got to our train station, the entire R train line was flooded and closed. I think he is going to turn around and go home. By the time he gets to work, it would be useless.

and ya know whats WORSE? the rain is supposed to get even heavier later this afternoon. what if they cant reopen the trains? i dont want to sleep in my cube.

I was on 25th Street and 4th Avenue then I walked to 9th street to get on the F...YEH!! NO F EITHER!!!! Then I walked to Pacific and said you know what I am tired of walking...I am taking a cab. I thought about you! I knew you had to be stuck too!!

My commute from Broklyn was absolute hell as well. What usually takes 1 train and 25 minutes was 3 trains and 1 hour 45 minutes. I almost had an anxiety attack!

I feel your pain Brooklyn!

Question is: I know it rained hard, but since when do trains stop running right in the face of rain?! It has rained this hard before w/o a problem?

I was late but not THAT late. I got in at 10. Anthonys co-worker that lives in Brooklyn is still not in!!!

I am so hungry and I dont even have time to eat lunch I dont want to be a b!tch but I think my boss needs a wake-up call, whats the law about employee lunches? I mean I am here 10 hours today and I dont have time to scratch my a$$

well I usually do when there are 2 of us, I cant tell people to leave or disconnect the phone or close the agency because I need lunch... and even if I get lunch people interrupt me when I am eating and then I just throw everything out because I dont feel like eating anymore... I am so pissed because he keeps telling me he is depressed and is losing money meanwhile he is in Europe doing nothing and I dont even have fecken time to eat or go to the bathroom

Aga, your boss is horrible!!! How long have you been working there?

The law states for every 8 hours of work you are allowed 30 minutes lunch and two 15 minute breaks. Or that was last time I checked so I may not be up to date. But my office does a 1 hour lunch and no brakes. Umm yeah okay no brakes...LOL

Hey Bunny. From what the conductor said, it was too much rain, way too fast. So it all drained into the tracks where the trains run, making it impossible to pass w/o getting electrocuted. ugh!

ugh! sounds like my old job. We are actually banding together to sue my old employer. he would not let us take breaks, eat dinner, OR pay overtime. It was hell. Can you get out soon?

I'm home sick I was up all night, stomach virus I think.. I've been sleeping on and off all day, but I made myself get up because Zoey needed to go out poor baby, she knows i'm sick, she lays on the floor by my bed watching over, she's the BESTEST Doggie in the WHOLE WORLD!!!

Stay Dry Girls!!! Tommorrow may be worse, Frances is on her way..

And girls, I have a queen size sofa bed, so if anyone really gets stuck, please let me know

thats another thing, if we work over 8 hours per day he doesnt pay overtime we just get regular wages and yep I am still here without lunch, his wife might come soon and help me so hopefully then I can eat something... but I just feel like I am being used you know, I work sometimes doing shat for 3 people and he thinks it is ok, I think him and I need to talk this is getting ridiculous
