its a free email account... like yahoo or hotmail... offered through google... but you have a gig of storage so you never have to delete emails and it organizes your email in a certain way...

Check your spam folder - when I sent one to my DH it wound up in his yahoo spam folder

because, its no 'public' yet... so you have to find a somone that has it to invite you. based on how much a person users it, they can start inviteing others...

Actually Gmail is the BEST e-mail service I've ever used. it's relaly easy and intuituve and puts everything into threads, it's so easy to sort, etc. I just love love love it!
