I really REALLY must disagree with you here. I don't think Jeter is a 'DIVA' at all ... in fact, I think he plays HARD and gives it his 'all' ALL the time..

You want Diva? See Barry Bonds

That said, I'm really not a DJ fan, per se .. nor do I think he's CUTE (Tino Martinez was THE CUTEST Yankee ever, not to mention a fantastic 1st baseman)..

I'm a YANKEE fan, first and foremost.. and yes, I'd love them even if all their players were butt ugly and they were perpetually in last place ( hmm.. that sounds a LOT like the Mets!! )

mets are three games back and are very capable of making the post season

and as far as your crack about the mets not having skill and having to rely on the yanks being tired to win is a typical yankee fan cop out

just like saturday's game, my cousins said that the only reason the mets won is because halsey is a rookie

What's to 'address' exactly, OctG? You guys get excited when the METS win even ONE GAME, let alone sweep your arch rivals!

Yes, we get VERY excited when we beat the Suxx (esp when we can slam the A@@hole known as Pedro Martinez). In many ways, beating the Suxx is SO much more satisfying than just about anything else... I feel practically GLEEFUL when I see the Suxx choke

That said, NOONE is claiming we won a 'championship' or anything else last night. We are just THRILLED that we SWEPT the Suxx in such grand fashion.

Capable and actually doing it are 2 different things...and post game and world series are also 2 different things...I hear the same sorry story every year...Look they are doing great...the Mets will make it this year...

3 months later all i hear is...WE HAVE IT NEXT YEAR....

As for all your talk about the World Series and October, I'll reiterate what I ALWAYS say :

Given the choice, I would STILL rather make it into the World Series and lose than hardly EVER make it into the World Series at al! Some of you disagree with that thought process, but to me I'd much prefer to see my team in the WS and proving that they are true champions, rather than merely slinking away at the bottom of the heap each and every year , a la the MUTTS
