Goals/Resolutions for the New Year?

I'm not one for NY Resolutions but I'm good for goals that I want to accomplish before the end of 2012...here's what I'm thinking...

1. Start to take care of myself...eat healthier and start working out

2. Quit smoking...I know I have to quit this year if we are going to TTC...I'm just not ready to quit when the ball drops

3. Get a new job!!!!!!!!

4. Try to not nag DH about stupid things...

5. Try to organize the apartment better and make it more homey then just where we live

What are yours?

Those are all really good goals, Linda!

Every year I say I'm going to get in shape, but it never works without motivation. For 2012, my goal is to get some motivation!

I'd love to be able to pay off some credit cards.

DH says I can't have a dog because I'm not 'clean' enough, but I think I'm a lot better than I was when I was younger. My goal is make SURE DH sees me clean, so that I can have a dog.

Motivation is key...I can never find any when I get home from work!!! If I can just find some kinda schedule that doesn't involve me getting up earlier LOL

And you made me remember to pay off my credit cards!!! That's a HUGE ONE!!!!

And I'm sure you will get the dog...just put on that apron you have on in your profile picture...

I don't make New Year's resolutions, but I'd like to start saving more money in general....I started doing that earlier this month though, not for New Year's.

See you can go running with the dog and it can help you become healthier, which DH would DEF want, right?

Seems like the dog is good all around LOL!

BTW, I've gained so much weight I don't even think my leg would fit into my wedding dress, but as my sister calls it 'Happy Fat'...I think I must be estatic!!!!

I love making goals for the New Year Here are a few of mine for 2012:

1. become certified to teach spin class
2. run 2 half marathons
3. cook at least one new recipe per month
4. maintain a blog for our (soon to be) new home

*hopefully by doing these things i'll also lose about 10 lbs in the process

well i shouldnt even mention losing weight because i feel like its jinxed then but whateva, either way, it seems like its jinxed. maybe i should put a little effort

seriously though.
1. get really healthy b/c if im going to get pregnant, i want to be as healthy as i can beforehand

2. i started my own Travel Agency business this year which i am going to be announcing on fb soon. So, my goal is to let that business grow and prosper by a lot of hard work that I plan to put in.

3. concentrate on myself more and also friends that are good friends, not just people who may be friends for years but are actually more of a drain to me than anything else. so basically surround myself with good positive people, not selfish ignorant ones.

4. try to roll with the punches a little more..

Re: Goals/Resolutions for the New Year?

I saw the cutest cartoon regarding resolutions on FB, it was two dogs, staring at a calendar.. one looks to the other and says

'whats a new years resolution?'

The other responds

'A to-do list for the first week of January'

Thats usually what it is for me
