So I have been on Loestrin 24 for 3 months, prior to that, Mircette and Yaz.
This BCP is flucking with me big time! Spotting, skipped periods, etc....I am seriously thinking of coming off it completely. Not to mention, every BCP atuomatically makes me gain 15 lbs
Anyone else come off BCP completely or can you recommend yours to try?

i have been toying with this idea also....i have been on ortho tri cyclin lo for like 7 years and never had any problems until recently so i am thinking of either switching or going off (but this makes me nervous)...my doctor recommended me trying YAZ or Alesse

Finding the right pill can be so frustrating! I was on Femcon, I liked it, but it was expensive, (check how much it will be with your insurance plan), so now I am on Sprintec which is making me suuuuuuuuuuper moody!! But I think I might switch back to Femcon so I'm not a flaming biotch, FH thinks it's worth every penny!!!

BCP after trying 12 different kinds I gave up and switched to the Nuvaring. I LOVE it and have had no spotting, no weird periods, nothing. No weight gain either which I love.

OMG I forgot I was on Sprintec....yeah that turned me into a raging bitcch!
I am gonna call my OB on my lunch break and see if he can call in something else. Maybe the Femcon? I have really good insurance...I gotta see, this is really annoying

I take femcon and I absolutely love it! It is expensive, even with insurance its $50. but totally worth it. I had no bad side effects.

Oh dear... I highly recommend mine, Loestrin 24 Seriously though, I love it. I get my period like once a year. Your body just needs to get used to it.

I used to be on the Depo shot but stopped that.
I'm on Tri-Sprintec which I love; no weight gain (though I started it about two months before I joined WW, so that might have something to do with it), no mood swings and I pretty much can pinpoint exactly when Aunt Flo will arrive. It's shortened the length of her visit too - I only deal with Aunt Flo for about two days. Three if it's been a particularly stressful month. It alleviated a lot of my cramps too.

I did call my OB and spoke to a nurse who assured me that everything I was experiencing was normal She said spotting is normal within the first few months and even missing a period completely on this type of BCP is extremely normal/common. She definitely put me at ease so I am gonna stick with it a little longer and then we'll see what happens.

Re: Going off BCP...
I was on like 5 bcp at one point or another..I ended up on seasonale then yaz, and it ended up messing me up soo much..at one point I was bleeding for 18 days straight (tmi I know)..so I would say about a year and half ago I just went off it completely..
