So i took my last pill today. I'm officially going off Loestrin. i have been on it for about 4 years. so i have no idea what to expect. do i get my period right away? will it be light? heavy? well it be like the way i used to get it? While on BC it never lasted more than 3 days & it was so light. I never got cramps.. i got sooo used to that & dread getting them again
even though i am nervous about starting a family, its still very exciting to start trying i know it may time but we are just letting nature take its course

Re: Going off Birth Control
I didn't feel any different after going off b.c - my period was alittle longer, like 5 days but not heavy, no cramps and it came like every 26-27 days.
BUT in the second month off, and the first month trying, I got pregnant! GOOD LUCK!

I'm always wondering about that too. I'm so used to knowing exactly when i'm gonna get it, and its never that bad, symptoms wise. I'm on the patch and probably going off of it in another year or year and a half. Thats so exciting that you'll be TTC soon!

thats what i am worried it. when i was off it. i was so irritable & got really bad cramps.
yes it is exciting.. but to be very honest i don't think i ever admitted this to anybody. i am scared to death of being a mother. I think i will be a good mother. i would like to think i am good person & am pretty good with kids. also, was hoping to have a house first. but we are both not gettting any younger & don't want to wait any longer. i always tried to plan my life but sometimes you have just have to through caution to the wind. also, going through natural child birth is pretty scarey

i'm totally scared too! I have seven nieces and a nephew and even though i've been around kids a lot, i'm still scared about having my own, full time! Child birth scares the crap out of me too!

You know you'll be a good mother if you're worried about being a good mother. :) Seriously. Do you think bad mothers ever thought about whether they'd be good ones?! As for going off BCP, I just did. I originally went on them b/c of really bad cramps myself and I was very nervous going off, but so far (and this has only been the first month), it was totally fine, no cramps at all (knock on wood)!
