Going on a honeymoon while the US is at war

As some of you girls alreasy know, I have booked my dream honeymoon to Greece. Problem is, I am afraid to go. I don't know if it is a good idea. I haven't had to pay anything yet so if I want to book something else I still can. But we must decide once and for all in the next week or so.
I have asked so many friends and have gotten so many different opinions. Some think I'm crazy to still go, others think I'm just as crazy not to. My fiance will do whatever I want to do.

Any other May brides planning on going to Europe for their honeymoon? Have any fears?

This is my biggest problem right now and I just want it resolved once and for all.

If you are uneasy about it, maybe you should wait until next week or the week after to see what happens. If you have time and would feel more comfortable, wait as long as you can before you book it. IMO, I would hate to be stressing should we be at war with traveling to Europe.

I simply hate the fact that we may be at war during our weddings, let alone the traveling that we afterwards....

Well, we are not going anywhere right after the wedding, and one of the reasons is because we will have our parents coming from abroad. I can understand that you don't feel comfortable with the idea of travelling, when the goverment and the media advice is to stay home. Have you thought of waiting a bit, to see if things get better? You should follow what you heart tells you, if you want to stay home for few months and then go, why not? Hopefully, all the places you want to see will be still there!

Good luck!

We are - but we are going in July, and unless the the government issues a warning NOT to travel outside the US I am going
