Going on vacacation with Friends with Poll!!!!!!!!

So do you ladies think that once you get married you can still go on an occasional vacation with just the girls?

I don't see why not. I could see if you had children and there were child care issues or something of that sort.

Definitely. I went to Minneapolis in March for a school competition (not exactly a vacation place, I know), and I took my bff with me (also my MOH). We had a great time out there and DH was happy that we got to have a girls weekend away.

Not because my FH would have an issue with it... or anything silly like that lol
Only bc I cant imagine taking time off of work and NOT being with my husband to enjoy it... Vacation days are scarce ya know... So we plan on always taking our days off together. We know once we get married its not gunna be all fun & games so we want to share the few weeks/year off that we have together

yes for sure. my girl friends and i take a trip somewhere every year. its a tradition and its great. i couldn't imagine giving that up.

If me n my girls had a chance to go away or w/ family I would go. I agree w/ an above poster that said vaca time is scarce, but I can still see doing something alone every once in a while.

I say no too, also, not because It is wrong in anyway- But honestly, If I am going to spend money on a vacation and take time off from work (if necessary) than i want to be with DH.
Going away for a weekend or something is one thing-an overnight thing-but not a full blown vacation-at least it's not for me!

I dont see the harm in it. But I agree that I will be saving my vacation time for being with my family. But I will def want to do a weekend thing with the girls!!!

I say heck yes! Of course I love my FH and want to vacation with him, but I don't want to give up the rest of my life - like the fact that I spend weekends away with my girlfriends. And I know he would never have a problem with it.

I put yes for a few reasons.

(1) I think having experiences apart can strengthen the relationship.

-Being apart for a little while lets you miss each other and look forward to reuniting.

-You'll have a lot to talk about when you tell each other about how you spent your time apart.

-Being with just the girls provides a different and very valuable form of refueling.

(2) My job gives me more time off than DH's does.

Sure, it's healthy for the relationship to have some time apart. Remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder. That being said I wouldn't go wild or anything, but a nice trip doing girly stuff is certainly OK!!

Thanks girls. We have a very trusting relationship and I don't want to give up my entire life b/c I am married. My friends mean a lot to me and have always been there for me!

DH and I spend a lot of time together so it is not like anytime I take a vacation day or so we have to take them together.
