Going to Africa......What shoud I buy??!??

YiIpPpPPPpPpPeee!!!!!!! We're going to Africa for our honeymoon!!!!!!!!

Now for past Africa tourists, what sould I buy there and DEFINATELY bring back??

Bring malaria pills (or get them once in Africa, it's easy). We actually didn't even take ours!
Buy a really great insect repellent.
Lots of sunblock.
A great safari hat to block the hot sun.
LOTS of neutral colors. (They don't like you to wear white or very bright colors on safari).
Clothes to layer, it's hot during the day, but can get pretty cool @ night.
Converter/Adaptor for charging digital cameras, etc...
Don't bother bringing a hair dryer, all good hotels have them & you don't need one on safari, it will just weigh you down.
Diamonds are NOT cheap there anymore. Neither is tanzanite. The SA Rand is doing rather well, so buying items there (jewels, clothes, etc...) is no bargain anymore!!!

PS- As far as what to bring back, go to Green Market Square in Cape Town, SA & bring back some fun handmade items, cute jewelry. We brought back a couple of bottles of wine, but you can easily purchase it here.
Maybe a nice piece of African artwork would be nice to bring back. Sneak some Billtong home (you'll know what it is once you're there ). Rooibos tea. An elephant. JK.

I spent 2 weeks in South Africa this January and it was incredible! We went to Cape Town, Victoria Falls and on went on Safari in Kruger as well....
As for what to buy...I bougnt my FH a hand carved spear (this is what he requested), hand made jewlery, and lots of AMARULA - which is similar to Baileys Irish Cream, but even better!
You are going to have an amazing trip!

Not sure where in Africa you are going but I've been to Nigeria, Cameroon, and Kenya. Diamonds and gemstones are NOT cheap. I did find beautiful loose stones (amethyist(sp?)) that I brought back to the US, and had put into a setting for earings.
The other thing that I found there are these unique wood boxes that were hand carved.
