oh i'm so jealous!

we had dinner right on the beach at the marriott, where we stayed. it was nice.

town is cute; good cheap food at iguana joe's.

we did the atlantis submarine and both felt very seasick the whole time, so if you are prone to that (and we really aren't) don't do it.

for a really nice meal go to aqua grill, it was amazing. get the calamari.

can't remember how long the flight was but that seems about right. i think we connected in atlanta.

A nonstop from JFK is about 4 1/2 hours.

I took a 4x4 Jeep Adventure to the Natural Bridge and it also went to some other beautiful sights.

Carlos and Charlies is fun...we went there for a few drinks.

Many of the highrise hotels on the strip offer dinner on the beach.

We went into town b/c we felt we had to see it, but stayed 1/2 hour and then headed back to the beach. It's just a town with a lot of American stores and fast food chains in my opinion, with a bunch of souvenir shops thrown in.

We loved having dinner at El Gaucho but you need to make reservations now - before you go (you can do it online).

We thought the Jeep Tour was very fun - you will see them advertised everywhere - it takes you to many of the sites.

Our direct flight from JFK was actually 3.5 - 4 hours in the air, but if you include runway and waiting time, almost 5!

Rent a jeep and drive down to Baby Beach. It's unfortunately next to an oil refinery but this beach is beautiful. There are no waves and you can walk all the way out and the water is not deep. There is also a spot where it opens up to some great snorkeling. I went there last year and I remember laying on the sand and it was PINK! The most beautiful place on the island!!! Have fun.

If you can eat at Fishbone! We had such a romantic night there waves were gently laping ON our feet as we ate and stared at the sunset.

Def eat at the flying fishbone. If you rent a jeep, go to baby beach for snorkeling and to the natural pool.

I can't wait to hear your review... I leave in 2 weeks from today. I know that we are doing the Kukoo Kunuku party bus and dinner on the beach at the sunset Grille at the Radisson. Please let me know what else you did that was great.
Have a wonderful time!!!!!!

Are you staying at the Radisson? We were there July 12-21 and had just as great a time as for our honeymoon! Our favorite restaurant is Le Dome, the food is amazing, we ate there twice this time b/c we love it so much! If you like Japanese/Sushi, Cafe Japengo is also one of our favorites. If you are looking for something inexpensive in between some really nice meals, (we were so full from eating so much!) we went across to Tomato Charlies for pizza. Inexpensive, easy dinner. You are going to love the Koonuku (sp.?) bus, it was so fun! Another of our favorites is Kokoa Bar on the pier. It is right near the Radisson and it is one of our favorites! They have a great band that plays on Sunday night around 5! If you have any more questions about restaurants, etc.., let me know You will have a great time!

We are staying at the Divi (AI). We are going with 3 other couples and got a great deal ($1300 per person for everything!) So I don't know how many restaurants we will hit. But the bus looks cool!

I am torn between the Bucuti and the All Inclusive Divi Resort. Its a matter of all inclusive or not. Any opinions?

Definitely do El Gaucho (that is if you eat red meat) Chalet Suisse is also great. Cafe Baci was really good Italian.

The shopping is not great in town, but the jewelry IS. There are tons of jewelry stores, and you can get a really good deal. IT is nice if you have had enough of the sun and want to go downtown for the afternoon. You can catch the bus from the hotel strip and it is only like $1.00 or something. VERY safe.

Madame Jeanettes is also great, and of course the Flying Fishbone.

Enjoy your trip! I am so jealous. We are thinking of going back on our 5 year anniversary.

Don't do all inclusive in Aruba!!! There are so many great restaurants to eat at.
