Going to court today UPDATE!!

...for my speeding ticket I posted about last week. Wish me luck!


UPDATE: I think LIW saved me from a ticket! I went to check in, and:

Person: Name?
Me: Laura Shapiro--I mean Bernstein. Sorry, I just got married.
Person: How long ago?
Me: 109 days ago as of 12pm ( )

The guards started laughing HYSTERICALLY, and they told the judge that I said that! The judge thought it was cute and told me I seemed like a good kid. I got no points, didn't have to pay the crazy $500 fee, and it got reduced from a speeding in a school zone to just speeding. I just had to pay a $30 court fee. YES.

THAT IS AWESOME! congrats. now tell DH that you had to pay the $500 and go buy yourself something else instead!
