Going to Dr Tonight

We are on our 9 month TTCing and I have decided to head to the Dr to check things out.
and tonight after work is my appointment.

if anyone has any advice or questions I should ask, please share.

I wasnt really nervous but as the time gets closer I am kinda getting nervous, I think I am just being silly.

You never know we can be preggo right now!!

Well The Dr's was fine,
She is sending us for some tests and after I go thru them I will make appointment to see her again.

I have to go for a Hysterosalpingography

X-ray hysterosalpingography (HSG) is the alternative test used to assess the state of the tubes.

They basically shoot some dye internally and are checking for blockage in the fallopian tubes.

and then some
BLOOD WORK

and then she wants Mike to go for a
Semen analysis
(I hate to do this to him unless its absolutely necessary, oh well!)

of course she said that it is extremely possible nothing is wrong and I could come in preggo next month but its better to just do the tests.

We are at that stage too. Hubby went a few wekks ago, and he came back fine, in fact the doctor said he was SUPERMAN Now hubby's head is beginning to swell
Im waiting for my friend any day now, and he said that when I get my AF, to call and they will begin testing on me. I guess there is a certain time for me to begin testing.
Im nervous, because I always feel like there is something wrong with me

Diane - What tests are they going to do on you?

I read that on the Hysterosalpingography:
'To avoid the risks of irradiation to an unsuspected early pregnancy this test is only performed in the first ten days of the menstrual cycle.'

AF is due early next week for me,
but I rather not get any tests done while I have AF, so I will probably call to make appointment the day I get it or a day or too before so I can go for the test on the 5 or 6th day when AF is gone.

I am nervous too, but I want to get this all out of the way asap!

I'm actually going for the HSG test tomorrow afternoon. You have to get it done between your 5th and 10th day cycle.

Just a bit of advice....if you need to take the test definately call the first day of your period. I had the hardest time trying to schedule because I waited a few days and I had to call up 10 different clinics to find one to take me. What a pain.

Karen - if you dont mind me asking where are you going for the test.
also should I call the ahead of time before I get my period??
I was going to call today, just to see what they say?

Hi : ) I actually just posted on the other thread about the test today. I wouldn't call until you get your period because you wont' be able to tell what cycle day you are until it comes. I went to Sitron Hammel in Bethpage and they were pretty good.
