Going to get waxed on Sun....

And I can't take the hair!!!!!

I'm desperately fighting the urge to shave!!!!!!!!!!!!!

soo uncomfortable!!!! ahhhh!!!!

i'm scared to get waxed!! Wish I had numbing cream!!!!

I'm the biggest baby!!!

I feel your pain - I feel like a big foot! Take a couple of tylenol or advil about 20 minutes before your appointment it'll take the edge off. Also, have a bloody mary or two - I find that REALLY helps.

I would give you some of mine. I have medical grade numbing cream which WORKS!!! Also I used to get the spray one that they sell over the counter which helps a little.

How did you get medical grade numbing cream? I want some!!

I'm doing my legs, underarm, and brazilian!!!!

And if there was a little shaking fearful icon i'd post that one too!! That's me!! A scaredy cat!!

My first time getting it done was crazy! Right after the 1st snatch i screamed ' What the F--k am i doing here! ' Oh it was bad... but i went back lol

OK, first, don't take Tylenol, take Advil. ETA: because the Advil has anti inflammatory properties which will help during AND after, the Tylenol does not.

Second, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL... it opens up your capillaries and makes your more prone to bleeding and your skin will be more sensitive. BAd idea.

Third, the prescription numbing cream is EMLA, but most MD's aren't going to give it to you for the sole purpose of having a waxing treatment.

I fyou go to Sally Beauty Supply or somewhere similar you can get an aerosol numbing spray with lidocaine in it (GiGi numbing spray). Use it 20-30 minutes before your appointment and it helps a lot.

The first time I did BRazilian, I did NONE of this and she pulled off the first strip and I nearly convulsed off the table... but after that it was fine.

Im sorry - I cant help but think of the scene from 40 Year Old Virgin when he was going to get waxed...that was some funny S--T...think of that when you go & hopefully that will at least help you laugh a little through it!

I got it at a medical spa when I was getting laser done. They sold it to me for $20 a pop but you dont feel a thing. They dont sell it normally.

What kind of laser did you do? I've done laser too... but with my dermotologist. I should have asked to buy some then!! haha!!

THe amount of pain also depends on the person doing it. Mine was slightly painful and now its not at all.

Oh my god I so feel your pain! I am going tomorrow and I can't freakin wait! I try to wait until after tht time of the month and this cycle was extra long! Grr! Enjoy!!
