Re: Going to hear Time Square Orchestra Tonight

No I don't finish until the 18th but I only have one final left. I am taking tonight off. I had 3 finals this week and am soo tired. Tonight will depend if I have the engergy. Do you know how these things work - do they talk first, then play a while, then talk?
How are your finals going? Have you finished yet?

Re: Going to hear Time Square Orchestra Tonight

we are going tonight so I have never heard them before. My only concern is we are only having 120-140 people in a country club and my family is being a pain and saying 'won't a band make it hard to hear - I refuse to stand around and shout all night'

Re: Going to hear Time Square Orchestra Tonight

Usually you listen to them first and then you speak to them.

I have my Real Estate final on Tuesday (it was supposed to be on Monday, but they pushed it back to Tues b/c of the possible transit strike). But I'm going crazy with all my cases in the Clinic. I cannot wait till the 20th. I'm done and no one at school will see till next semester. This has been the worst semester by far!!

Good Luck with the rest of your finals!

Re: Going to hear Time Square Orchestra Tonight

We used the Times Square Orchestra for our wedding in May. They were one of my favorite vendors Joe and Maryann are a pleasure to deal with. Everyone enjoyed the music for our wedding. We had the full 8-piece for a Saturday afternoon. Nothing short of spectacular!!

Good Luck. We too booked them after seeing them at their showcase.

If you have specific questions, forum mail me.

Re: Going to hear Time Square Orchestra Tonight

I LOVED THEM!!! They say they play regularly at my reception site and will be playing a wedding there next week. Problem though - My father insists on going which is fine because he has good taste in music. The problem - he LOVED them as well but claims they are too loud. How are we going to talk do you really need music that loud. We want to be able to have a quiet conversation throughout the wedding!!!!. UGH!!! BUT he did say he thought they were good and he is really picky so we will see. I was given a list by my reception site of vendors they like to deal with and will put up a post and see if anyone knows any of them.
They say they run 5500 is this average?

Re: Going to hear Time Square Orchestra Tonight

Christine

My in-laws are members of the Cherry Valley Club and they play there all the time. We are going to a dinner dance there this Saturday night.

As for them being too loud - they totally work with your site and the tone of your wedding. Remember you saw them in a little room in the hotel. At your reception site they will have much more room for the sound to work around. DO I make sense.

Good Luck. They were wonderful!!

Re: Going to hear Time Square Orchestra Tonight

My father was wondering why they weren't listed as a preferred vendor. I liked them and I'M NOT worried about the sound. My parent's are -how do you say - hmm see the movie MY Big Fat Greek Wedding - Think HIS parents...lol.
Hey let me know when you go next time we are there often since my grandparents and parents are members
