Re: going to register tomorrow!
It could take you hours depending on how much you agree and disagree on . You don't have to do i all in one day, you can do a department at a time. be careful for somethings like bedding and bath sets that change with seasons . You don't want things discontinued before your shower. Some register systems have a prompt if something is low in inventory and it may mean i could be getting discontinued.
also right now a lot of shelves may still be bare from xmass so you may not find everything you are looking to scan. But have fun, its exciting.

I registered at both those places and it took a few hours. There is so much to look at and like FututeMrsDe said it would depend on what you guys agree on. There were certain items that we went back and forth on which was tme consuming. It really is a fun experince to think that you will one day have all these new shiny things to play with

We are only registering at BBB because its just more convient and they have those nifty 20% coupons. We spent a good 3 hours regsitering and remember if you dont scan everything you want you can always add I know on BBB on the web.
have fun its was the best thing so far we have done!

If you go tomorrow to update it, I would check it often online to update it. I know when my sister did hers, macys had changed the availability of alot of items...it makes sense, you don't usually find the same items available in the store a year later

Re: going to register tomorrow!
I went to BBB last Sunday to register. It took about an hour and a half. I love BBB!! I would've looked longer; however, FH and I had to meet our friends for dinner. You can always add items you like from the BBB website on your registry. Also if you don't like something that you selected in the store, you can always delete it. I'm planning on registering at Macy's for fine china and crystal.

Have Fun! I think It wouldn't take more than a couple of hours to register. I agree that you don't have to do it all in one day. And once you set it up, you can even edit it or add to it online.

have fun registering!!!!!!! I can't wait to do that! to pick out all the new stuff you want! :)
I am planning on registering at those 2 also. Macy's gives you great extras I have heard there and you can also change it online. MY friend was saying they give you gift cards for xx amount of dollars taken off your registry or something like that. Let me know how it goes!

Yes, if you're going to buy out your registry after the wedding, Macys is very good with perks - we're closing FH's credit account with them now, so that by the time the wedding is over he can open a new one and we can get that % taken off whatever we buy off the registry as well.
Has anyone been to BB&B this week? I've heard from a few people that as of 1/1/10 they are no longer taking expired coupons.

Re: going to register tomorrow!
so girls I just made it to BBB not macy's and we set up the registry but FH did not enjoy the saleslady walking around with us...he felt it didn't give us a chance to really think about what we need/want. So we didnt really register for many things and my mom is going to come back with us on Saturday and we will get to go through the store by ourselves and take our time.
