So, I've finally made appointments to try on dresses at Priscilla of Boston in Roslyn on Saturday and Kleinfeld on Sunday. Any suggestions on what I should wear? I know that people have suggested wearing underwear that is NOT a thong in order to not feel 'bashful' when an attendant is helping you out. Strapless bra would help too, right?
Thanks!!!

Have fun!!!! I loved tying on gowns. I wore a strapless bra, you dont have to take your pants off, if you dont want to. Keep us updated

LOL! I'm a little 'booty shy' especially since I have a big 'ol black and blue from falling in the subway this week.

I wore a strapless bra and SPANX' 'Higher Power' with some boyshorts underneath.

I wore a bodysuit so there was no skin showing when i took things on and off.. It made me feel warm & fuzzy....and much more comfortable.

also have your hair done (not in a pony tail) that way you can feel more in the dress, for me I feel more pretty when I have my hair done and the cloth look different when I put it on.

this may be a dumb question, but I haven't tried dresses on yet.. are you out in the open in front of people or something that showing too much skin is even a concern?
the places I've gone past years with friends, I thought I remembered fitting rooms and someone just helping zip?

That's a good idea! I'm going to make sure my hair is not in a 'makeshift' bun on the top of my head!
