Re: going to vegas!
you can take side trips, like to the grand canyon..
fh and i arent big gamblers and we went to vegas and spent lots of time walking around in all the casinos--there's lots to do and see. there's also madame tussauds wax museum. some of the casinos have activities (like NY NY has a roller coaster), and shows. definately see a show or 2! and spend lots of time in the pool!
it gets very hot in the summer (we went in august) and so it's best to get up early and sight see and then get back to your hotel by noon and lounge by the pool in the afternoons. and drink lots of water!
and check out the buffets! they're awesome! our favorite was the one in the riveria (it's a little off the strip). and if you can, have dinner around sunset time at the restaurant on top of the stratisphere casino- it revolves and you can watch the sun set on the strip. u'll need reservations.
Hi there...we are big travelers, and we havent been there yet, but also arent big gamblers..we are staying at the Bellagio..heard if you are going to do Vegas once, thats the place to stay...supossed to be amazing!! WE are leaving this week(Jan 11th) and we are staying for 4 nights...Ill let you know... send me a FM after the 15th and remind me!

Re: going to vegas!
for a HM, you have to stay at either the Bellagio or the Venician! both are 5 star hotels. Venician might be more suitable for a younger couple. Bellagio seemed to have a LOT of much older people.
definitely take the Hoover Dam tour. it was so cool!
word to the wise... it is SOOOOOOOOOOO HOT there July, so be prepared! we're talking 110-120

The Bellagio is the best hotel in Vegas. Even better than the new WYNN. Enjoy yourself and if you can get a massage. They are amazing at the bellagio.

Just so you know the venitian has this weird smell. Sort of like soap that permiates through the casino and all through the hotel. I hate walking through there. JMO
