I'm taking my BMs out to brunch this weekend in NYC. Any suggestions? We're going to be in the midtown-West/Chelsea area. Thanks!!

Re: Good Brunch- Midtown West?
It's a bit pricey, but I love Norma's at the Le Parker Meridien on 57th St. between 5th and 6th.
I edited this to add Eatery at 53rd and 9th - they have really good food, too, and cheaper than Norma's.

I love Brunch! Excuse me while the former hotel concierge in me comes out! Heres three options for any budget/scene.
(affordable and casual) Film Center Cafe - 9th avenue and 43rd-ish. great funky, low key, yummy food place - unlimited mimosas and eggs benedict for like, 12.00.
(mid priced and upbeat) Cafeteria - 7th and 17th. Very sex and the city type joint - good dependable if not slighly overpriced food. Trendy and fun.
(Upscale and AMAZING!) Pastis - French Bistro, unbelievable food, great for impressing out of towners, a TOTAL scene.
Have fun Jennie!

I second Cafeteria - 7th and 17th.
Another cool place is 44 x 10 - Hells Kitchen. and conveniently located at 44th & 10th Avenue

If you want great food (but not atmosphere) go to the Bright Food Shop on 22nd and 8th Ave. Best brunch in NY!

I was going to say Pastis too! Love their brunch, love the scene, crowded, but lots of fun!

This is not really midtown, but if you are willing to consider going to 17th, then I can't resis suggesting you go a little further down to 13th and try La Belle Epoque (827 Broadway) They have a jazz brunch every Sunday. The food, decor and music are all top-notch.

If you go to Cafeteria... which is my pick... Make SURE you have a reservation!!! Otheriwise you'll be waiting for a few hours. I took my girlfriends there and I looked like an idiot b.c we needed reservations!

Thalia. It's a little more uptown (49th and 8th) but they have a price-fix brunch that is awesome - comes with a bloody mary or mimosa - around $25 I think. But the place itself is really nice.
