good DJ integrity - 3 cheers for Variety Music :)

I heard a good litmus test for DJ integrity is to ask if they charge tax.
I talked to Variety Music and was so pleased when they were honest and said 'NO'

when I went to check theknot.com
to see if they were awarded the 2010 best of weddings
(as they claim they were)
I was sad to not find the little award symbol :(

HOWEVER I decided I needed to call them out on it.

Well RAY was great- he apologized for it,
forward me the e-mail from theknot.com
proving they had won.
He even followed up with me to let me know the website had updated, and the symbol would be there
he even thanked me for bringing it to his attention.

I'm soooooo happy :)

Being on a small budget I was worried I would have to hire some cheesy - no name- DJ

now I'm so excited to get announced and dance my booty away all night long :) :)

that's GREAT! I have heard such great things about them! that is a very good questionto ask a DJ - the tax thing..,One DJ told us that they would be charging tax b/c we were going to be doing zap shots, but if we paid cash - no tax... I walked out after the appt and crossed him off my list. It is still a service industry and no tax should be charged!

I am happy that you found such a great DJ!! Congrats!!!

I am happy you found a DJ ... we are on the hunt. But as a note, none of them should be charging tax. By state law they do not have to and if so then they are making a profit!
