Good hair stylist???

Hi Ladies,
I just have a quick question. My mom has EXTREMELY LONG hair & wants to finally get it cut. I want to bring her somewhere nice but I am not sure where. I would like somewhere that will take their time with her so she feels comfortable! My hair stylist just moved to Florida so I'm stumped! Please help! I want to take her on friday for her birthday or at least make an appt by then! Also if you could give me an estimate price that would be GREAT! Thank You!!!

Sorry...I'm located in the babylon area (Suffolk) but I'm willing to travel a bit for a good stylist at a reasonable price.

I have two recommendations but they're both Suffolk.

The first is Maxine from Cactus Salon in Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack. She is fantastic. She's my current hair stylist and she is both nice and talented. She gave me my dream hair cut about 2 years ago so I have a lot of faith in her.

The second is Jen from Ntrigue Salon in Port Jeff. I went to her for about 10 years before I moved away from Port Jeff. She is SO NICE, and she will DEFINITELY make your mother comfortable. By the time I stopped going to her I was at the point where I'd go and say 'do whatever you feel like today' because everything she did looked good!!

For Maxine, when I get a wash, cut, blow dry its $45. I don't know if it would be a little more if your mom's hair is that long, but I doubt it would be much more.

For Jen, when I used to go to her it was about $30 or $35, but prices may have gone up a little since then, though I doubt it's much more.
