Good Hotels???

Anyone know of any reasonable priced, clean hotels near the North Ritz Club (Jericho trnpike, syossot). I called the inn at the Fox Hollow - but they were a little overpriced for my family...any suggestions.

I am trying to do the Fox Hollow and have the Fairfield Inn as a cheaper alternative - however, I am not happy with those choices. I wish there were more options

Yeah, I've had a little trouble in that area too.
I blocked with the Fairfield & Howard Johnsons.

There is alwso a Holiday Inn in westbury, I think but I was trying to keep it closer.
I also tried the Holiday in Inn Plainview, but they had a minimum I wasn't sure I could meet.

My friends don't like the hotel choices, b/c they wanted some where witha bar, but that was the best I could do.

We had the Inn at Fox Hollow but we also had the Best Western right down the road on Jericho Tpke. The rate was about $109-119...can't remember.

We ended up with the Marriot in Melville. Friends of mine have used it too. The prices are reasonable, the rooms are just as nice minus the kitchen (who cooks on vacation? JMO ) and the plus is they have a beautiful Atrium lobby with a glass cieling over the whole thing. So if it rains we have an alternate picture location! Also the bar is open till 1am. We were quoted $70 LESS than Fox Hollow & Eileen is a dream to work with.

After looking a lot online (from Boston) I finally stopped by both the Holiday Inn in Plainview and the East Norwich Inn. I am not sure if the East Norwich Inn would be conveniently located or not, but I loved the option - they are located on Northern Boulevard. They had a great group rate for the block (and rooms slightly better than the Holiday Inn) and offered a unique option - the ability to rent out a 'suite' or cottage (which we might do so that our friends can still hang out a while together after the wedding.) There is also a nice steakhouse off the same parking lot which has a bar too! Send me FM if you would like more details!

Melville Marriott. We used them for our rehearsal dinner, blocked rooms and brunch the next morning! Everything was perfect, hotel is beautiful, service was great and food amazing!

I wasn't impressed by the hotel selections either. We were going to block at the East Norwich Inn, but they didn't have any availability. We wound up going with the closest one, which was a motel right up the street from the hall. It wasn't necesarily the nicest option, but it was very convenient and the right price. We don't really have any OOT guests, it's really for our friends and family so they don't have to drive back to Westchester drunk!

We are getting married at the Garden City Hotel, so our guests will stay there.

i was so unimpressed with the hotel options available... we wound up booking the Wyndham Wind Watch Hotel as it was the most convenient for us...

that's my situation exactly.

I'm still not sure I'm happy with my blocks.

My mom suggested the marriot in melville, but I thought it was kinda far.

I also looked into the East Norwhich
(nferrandi--who has all our rooms? )

What is the motel by your hall?

It's the Tides Motor Inn in Bayville. I'm not really familiar with the area, but it doesn't really seem close to anything except my hall. It doesn't look very nice from the outside, but I found the rooms to be just as nice as the Fairfield Inn in Syosset (they were recently rennovated). All we need it for is a place to crash and it will serve that purpose just fine.
