good idea or bad idea?

BM dresses are bill levkoff in cornflower blue.

I'm ordering FG dresses now and want to get them sashes in cornflower blue. Would it be a bad idea to get cornflower blue sashes from DB when the BM dresses are BL? Does it really matter if the BM and FG colors are 100% exactly the same?

It just seems so easy because they're only $10 (and I have to buy 4 of them)...and they're ready-made.

Just wondering if you think it would look awful. Obviosuly it wont be exactly the same cornflower blue shade, but do you think it would be that totally off?

I don't think it would be that bad. I mean, it's not like the FG will really be standing next to the BM's all that much anyway.

are the materials the same? when i was looking at bm dresses i noticed that different materials of the same color looked different

Yes- they're both satin.

Could you take the fabric from the BM dresses once they are hemmed and have the seamstress make sashes for the FG. This way they are the same material and color as the BM's?

BTW I have never heard of ths being done. I just thouht of it and thought it could be a good idea.

If not I think getting them from DB will be fine

I thought about that...but I have tall BMs..so I'm not sure how much will be hemmed. And I need 4 sashes.

can you bring a swatch of your bms dress to a david bridal to check out the colors and then see if you like how they go? I think it would be fine if they were a little off

I have a BM dress swatch...I just have to find it!! If I do maybe Ill do that. thanks for the idea
