They're having a party at work today for Travis - the owner's nephew who is always there, since his mom works there (I love having a baby to play with at work!). I don't work Mondays but I'm going to stop by for the party. Since I've only been there a week I don't really know them that well, but I want to get Travis a little something for his birthday. Any ideas?

Re: good, inexpensive gift for a 1 yr old...?
Not sure how much you want to spend, but you could always get something reasonably priced at The Childrens Place.
If you want a toy instead of clothing, Kaybee's is the most reasonably priced toy store I know....

I dont know how much you mean by inexpensive but-
some age appropriate books (board books) are always great. A kid can have too many toys or clothes but you cant go wrong with books.
otherwise
the Fisher price little people sets are cute too.

A thought - how about a stuffed (soft) football or basketball ? That will be very inexpensive, and he could play w/it freely b/c it's so soft.

books are a good idea. Now I just need to find a place that has them - I don't know where any toy stores are out here!
I don't think we have KB's - at least I haven't seen one.
My niece has a 'little people' set - we were there when she got it and she kept playing the song for hours - its permanently stuck in my head now.
as for inexpensive, I was thinking under $20
