The post on diamond bands got me thinking...does anyone know a good, reasonable jewlery store to get diamond wedding bands, preferably in Nassau County? Thanks!

If you are going into manhattan, go to Jennbaby's jeweler Murray Kirsh. If you are on Long Island go to the Linda Shop and ask for Larry.

We're using Elsa's in Farmingdale. That's where FI got my engagement ring. The people there are really nice and I think the prices are reasonable. You can design your own wedding band to match your engagement ring!!

Elsa's has a nice selection, but if you want to go to the diamond district, try Norman Landesburg. His booth is always packed and has many satisfied customers. He will also customize a ring if there is nothing you like.

I'm sorry, I have to once again plug myself (every thread that has anything to do with jewelry, sorry girls) I am a GIA graduate gemologist. I work for Bailey Banks and Biddle in the Walt Whitman Mall, all of our stones are ideal cut and the majority of our inventory are colorless stones only, we have a few near colorless diamonds and all of our diamonds are of course GIA certified! Come in and ask for me, Jamie.

GOOD OLD GOLD in Massapequa. THey used to be in the BUSY BEE Flea Market- now they have their own store on sunrise hwy, right by TOWER RECORDS and FRIDAYS. They are extremely reputable. A bunch of my friends work there. Check out their website www.goodoldgold.com

COME AND SEE ME 'KRISTYN' AT MY FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED STORE 'POLARA JEWELERS' LOCATED IN BELLMORE VILLAGE. WE DO ALL OF OUR CUSTOM WORK AND JEWELRY AND WATCH REPAIRS ON SITE! WE ALSO DO THE REPAIR WORK FOR LITTMAN JEWELERS AND CUSTOM WORK FOR KAY JEWELERS! A LITTLE PEICE OF ADVICE IF YOU DECIDE TO GO WITH A BIG CHAIN STORE (MOSTLY IN MALLS) MAKE SURE THEY HAVE A FULL TIME JEWELER ON SITE. MOST STORES SEND THERE WORK OUT! Definitely go to Polara Jewelers in Bellmore! The owner, Billy, also does the work there and he does beautiful stuff! He can custom design anything and their diamonds are only the best quality. It is also a plus that it is a family store. If you go to a large store, like in a mall, they over charge because of all the overhead, like employees, rent, things like that. But Polara Jewelers have great prices, very reasonable. I have gotten many things from there and having nothing but great things to say about them. We are getting our wedding bands and bridal party jewelry there, too.
