Last year at work they told us we would be getting a lump sum bonus in the middle of October that would be a percentage of our base salary. Since I work in a non-public schoo/day treatment center, raises and bonuses are VERY VERY VERY rare. Needless to say the money was budget towards certain things for the wedding before I even got it. I have to pay for the balance of my head piece (major ca-ching) and I really was having a very hard time trying to justify hand calligraphy on my invitations. I prefer it, I want it, yet at the same time, I am practical. I thought my bonus was going to be a certain amount of money, but when I opened the check, it was $200 more than I anticipated. YAY!!! Now I can have the hand calligraphy, pay for my headpiece AND have enough extra to pay some bills. ITS LIKE CHANUKAH IN OCTOBER!!!!

Thanks ladies. I know $200 isnt much in the grand scheme of things. But when every dollar is budgeted, it is nice to have a little breathing room.
