Good morning and welcome to the 2nd WW meeting!

OK it is one week later , how is everyone doing??

I weighed myself this morning and I am down 4 pounds! I couldn't believe it, the scale said 135. I picked up my dress on Saturday and it fits great, however a little tight around the waist. There's my motivation!!

Congrats!
I have to get to WW and weigh in for real. My scale says I've stayed the same from 2 weeks ago. (I am a Lifetime member but am trying to drop another 10 pounds.) Then again I ate a lot of salty food this weekend.

Congrats Future, that is great, especially when you are trying your wedding dress on, good for you!

I am up a 1/2 pound but I have not been sticking to WW in the last 2 weeks really but today is a new day! I had blueberry waffles and light syrup for breakfast and coffee.

Well my first week of being totally good(after 2 weeks of vacation and 2 semi okay weeks) and I lost 3 lbs-- very happy about that but had gained 6 lbs over the last few weeks so only half way there---want to get back to my total of 27 lbs so that I can aim for 30lbs!!!!
The scale this morning will defintely keep me motivated--and i am doing a bikeathon in Central Park this Sat so I will be biking almost every day so the extra exercise will hopefully help me!!!
Happy Monday to all!!!

Hmmm.... well last week, I did really good. I even went on the treadmill 3x last week. Then the RAINY weekend came . I had a wedding on Saturday, didn't eat too much, but vodka and cranberry's were going down like water. Sunday, not too bad either, I was pretty busy. I guess I just feel fat today.

Stupid me I measured my waist and hips last night and it WAS NOT good news. I lost 14lbs since January, I would have to think that they should've gone down, no? I forgot I did that, now I'm depressed.

I stayed the same...which I guess is good...I've been working out so much...so I was a bit disappointed...

good luck this week ladies!!

Re: Good morning and welcome to the 2nd WW meeting!

I lost 1.4 last week, finally remotivated after weeks of being half as*ed about WW. I have my first dress fitting on 7/1, so that is my short term goal. I tried on some bikinis last week, and was very happy that I did not want to hide from the mirror, but I can still use some weight loss. So the longer term goal is to rock the bikini on my HM in September.

So I am chugging the water like its going out of style, cutting carbs and eating more veggies. I find on WW you can easily get stuck eating the same foods because its easy and you dont have to calculate the points- but you have to change what you eat up, or your body adjusts to it and you slow weight loss.

That is such a good point, and I didn't even realize it. I do that all the time, especially when grocery shopping, I know what the points are and just eat that, even if I'm not logging my points!
I definitly need to work out, and start getting on track.

Does anyone remember the post about doing WWs backwards? I forget how they said to do it but it seemed like a good idea, logging your dinner first or something? I forget...

Re: Good morning and welcome to the 2nd WW meeting!

Thanks Jen I am determined to get into the bikini (withOUT the wrap around skirt I always wear) I am trying to focus on that instead of a number, as I was getting discouraged at my slow weight loss. I also bought a pair of pants that are one size smaller than what I wear now. I try them on every week after my meeting. Once I can sit in them without suffocating, I will have accomplished a major goal I am all about trying to keep myself on track.
We can keep each other motviated by our upcoming HMs! We will rock the beach

Edited to say that to do your WW day 'backwards' you start tracking your points at dinner instead of breakfast. I have not tried it, but know people who swear by it.

Yay! Jeanene very good!

OK so to do WW backwards our point counting starts at dinner time? I see....interesting!

Yes, doing the day backwards is good if you eat a larger dinner, and then a smaller breakfast. It 'looks' like your points go farther, since breakfast is usually the lightest meal. I dont do it b/c I dont want to eat my biggest meal at night- I know myself, I would end up w. no lunch points (when you do it backwards, lunch is the last meal of the day) and the would end up overeating at dinner. I would rather space out my eating during the day, and if I have few points left, have a lighter dinner.

so all that talk about sandwiches yesterday made me crave my fav - a PBJ! i tried to make it 'healthy' by using reduced-fat peanut butter and light bread, but it still was 7 points. ugh...... looks like dinner will be light tonight!

Re: Good morning and welcome to the 2nd WW meeting!

Finally got to WW and weighed in. I'm up a pound and kinda disappointed in myself. I know WW in and out but it's been hard for me to get back on after being on maintenance for like 6 mos. I think I've reached my plateu (sp).

I've been exercising like a fiend so maybe it's muscle weighing more? I also ate too much salty foods lately so I may also be retaining water.
I think my period is coming too.

Damn these last 10 pounds that won't go away!!!!

I think I might get one personal training session. It's supposed to be free at my gym. That way I can ensure I am working out the right way.
