So Thursday morning I was called into my VPs office, and she offered me a promotion to a manager!! Which I was completely blown away by, since I was just promoted 6 months ago. I'm really excited about the entire thing, but I'm really scared to see everyone's reaction when it's announced. I've only been with this company for a year and a half and this is the second time I've been promoted. The majority of the people have been there much longer than me, and now they are going to start reporting to me. I know that people are not going to be happy . . . I told FH to send me to work with a bullet proof vest when they do announce it

congrats... and to all those that arent happy for you... screeew them... its the nature of the beast. People need to realize that if you do your job well you will go far. You will not get promoted in a company based on longevity... I am happy you are going to be promoted!!

You can't please everyone all the time, so it's just natural that there will be people who will resent your good fortune. Screw them! As long as you are fair and professional in your new position, it won't matter!
