Good Places to Get my Kitty Spayed (Not too expensive)

We have to get Kitty Spayed - the vet we currently use (who I think is overpriced) wants between $250 and $350 - depending on the bloodwork. Does anyone have any vets they've used or places that due cheap spaying - certainly not at the expense of my baby though - no bad jobs! Nassau County.

i was going to recommend my vet, but i think we paid the same amount. spaying is always pretty expensive, as the female require more anthesia and more stitches. it is a more more invasive surgery than having the males neutered. you also have to add in that the females also stay overnight for a few days.

Call local shslters - they may be running some sort of program.

Well, I know you said Nassau, but I got my cat neutered for free in Brooklyn through a non profit called Muffins:

I got my cat neutered at the Wantagh Animal hospital. I bought a certificate online at Friends of Animals.com. It cost me $40. I know that spaying is a little higher (maybe $55).

I'm not sure how much it costs here, but I know the ASPCA is reasonably priced for all of their vet services. Maybe you could find somewhere that has sliding scale fees if $ is a little tight.
