Good restaurants on Bell (or vicinity?)

DH and I are looking for someplace new to eat thats not too expensive or heavy. Any ideas? Doesn't have to be on Bell, just don't want Suffolk recommendations. Looking for queens/western nassau. Any cuisine...

TIA!

Bourbon Street, which is on Bell, if you like Creole. Very good!

Uncle Jack's is supposed to be good, but I have never been and I heard that it's pricey.

Casual Italian- Cascarino's in Whitestone- it's on 154th (off the Cross Island service rd) and 10th. Has the best chicken parm EVER! Good prices too.

Tequila Sunrise on Bell is good and there is also a Jackson Hole, which has yummy (huge!) burgers and such. More casual.

Papazzios is on Bell and really good Italian.

Erawan is great Thai food on Bell.

Classico on Middleneck road in Great neck is Italian

Santorini My Love is great Mediteranean food on Great Neck Road.

OMG! FH and I ate there a few weeks ago. I wanted to order a kids burger because I knew I wouldnt be able to finish. They wouldnt allow it but I ate a burger with no fries and no bun. Didn't finish it. It was so good, so fresh. All the PETA people will be hunting me down.

Definitely check out Erawan. It's a Thai restaurant on Bell and it's awesome. Make sure you call ahead and make reservations; the last 2 times we went, the wait was 45 min. without one.

So many good restaurant's in the area. Many of them have been mentioned. Here are two more to look into.

Cooking with Jazz in Whitestone is great. I love Nick and Maggie's on Union Turnpike.

i agree about cooking with jazz although its in whitestone not bayside its a short ride and worth it. i think uncle jacks is okay but over priced for the quality in my opinion. there is also a good italian place on bell whats the name of it
