Well, I did it. I just got a second job working at Starbucks 3-4 days/week. I can't remember the last time I had to work weekends. The things we do for our dream day! haha! Now if I could only convince FI to look for something. We have a friend who's brother owns 2 bars here in the city. It would be great if he could do some bartending/bar backing a couple nights a week.

Welcome to the club. I just keep telling myself, it will all be worth it for our big day. Keep saying that to yourself when it gets rough!! Good luck!!

Yea me too I just started working at MACYS for some extra cash for the holiday season because the wedding is draining me. I know it has only been one week and I so miss my weekends and evenings.
You are right the things we do for our dream day!

Oh my. i feel for you ladies.
I couldnt imagine getting another job on top of teaching- it would make me miserable. i would rather cut thing out of my wedding than be tired and overworked for the year leading up to it.
All the power to you....I hope your day is worth the hard work.

I know that feeling. Working two jobs is the worst. I do it now. Just till the wedding. FH is working overtime as much as possible. So I can't complain to much, just a little though

I thought about working at Macy's - the $500 signing bonus was particularly enticing. But, I didn't think I could deal with the holiday shoppers. I worked in a department store in San Diego for about 2 weeks at Christmas time - I despised it. Oh well. I'm also going to be babysitting my niece 1 day a week for some under the table cash so they won't have to send her to daycare.

I used to work at Starbucks during my senior year of high school. I felt special because I was the only teenage person there--everyone else was early to mid-twenties. It was so much fun. Except for the snotty customers who were like, ' I want my milk steamed to 180 exactly.' Okay, control freak!
