*** gooooood morning el-eye-dubbayoo!!!! QOTD 3/19/10 ***

Whoooo, so it's friday.

We're half way though March. Well on our way to Spring. Too close to the weather screwing us all again and turning cold again.... but the good news is that its supposed to be B-E-A-utiful all weekend.

So I wanted to say whooo! to all of you who are going to have glorious weddings with warmth and sunshine!

And Thank GOD (or whoever!) it's Friday. That's all I'm sayin'.

So let's all take a minute to say one thing we are thankful for amidst the sea of wedding bull$hit that seems to pour in. Somewhere there was a thread yesterday and I forget who it was but they said it amazingly. 'Weddings make me hate people.''

Well, my friends, a lot of things make ME hate people. But regardless of who true it is... it shouldn't be like that, right? It's supposed to be happy. It's supposed to be the coming together of two families and blah blah blah.

Just say one thing you're happy for.

And also, for a fun question in the spirit of not being excited about work...

If you could ask your boss or teacher (or maybe just an annoying coworker) ONE question without any repercussions, what would it be?

I am thankful for my little 75 year old Grandmother who is back in MI. We talk on the phone everyday. And so... regardless of the sea of bewilderment that is my own mother who seriously seems to have about 4% interest maximum in her own and only daughter's wedding...

... ugh, we won't even get into that.

My grandma is just awesome. Period. She is what every grandmother should be like and I'm thankful for her every minute of life. I hope I make a grandkid feel the way she makes me feel. ENOUGH SAP.

I'm also thankful that I don't have any lame bosses or coworkers. I just ... have the kids I watch and their parents are awesome. I'm actually going to be asking their mom to be my MOH around Easter.

I don't have any workplace drama but I figured this would be a good question for us to hear about lots of office so spill.

So have a great day, girls.

I will now leave you to admire this pile of wrinkly puppies.

Collective, awwww!

wooohooo happy friday!

that was the best intro to a qotd btw

i'm most thankful for my fh who somehow still loves me and puts up with my shitt no matter what i do, buy, say, blah blah blah. he's the bestest

if i could say something to my boss i'd definitely say 'why are you such a digusting, perverted, crude, rude *******? no one likes you, you're ugly, dirty, and a miserable person to be around. stop picking your nose, biting the skin off your fingers, burping in my face, and walking around with your pants falling down and shirt hanging out like a slob.'

The one thing that I am happy for is that it looks like my FMIL will be making it to the wedding. For a while it looked like she wont (health issues) but it sems now she will be there.

Ok- now the good one. the one question I would ask my boss if there wasnt any reprocussions would be.....

Deleted because of lurkers

Awww cute puppies!!!

One thing I'm thankful for is my car (I know superficial, but I was just thinking how thankful I was for it this a.m.). I got my driver's license two years ago and I'm so happy I did it. One of the best decisions I ever made.

If I could ask someone at work something, it would be: Do you know how many times I wanted to punch you in the face??

I'm thankful that I have very good health coverage. Perhaps that's a little boring but last night I realized yet again how grateful I am that I don't have to pay massive amounts of money for a simple doctor's visit and prescription.

One thing I'd ask my boss....'so, what's the deal, you a lesbian or not?'

I am thankful/happy for FH that is my bestie for anything wedding related. He is super involved and reacts as any good groomzila should. Not sure if him being a bit of a groomzila is a good thing, but at least he doesnt make me feel like a hysterical bride, so I totally appreciate that
He truly is my BEST FRIEND (which is what I wrote on his bday cake last week )

alas, but I do not have any work . I like everyone.
Maybe to ask my co-worker about his wedding details. I am sooooooo curious!!!!

As others have said, I am most thankful for my FH. He is truly my best friend & I love that I can tell him everything & anything.

as for asking someone at work a question with no repercussions, i would ask FMIL why she is being such a pain in my @$$.

Me me me!! I said it!!! Weddings do make me hate people!!!

Awesome puppies.

On to the questions...

I am thankful for Darwin. No matter how crappy of a day I am having our how much I may want to strangle the people I work with he will always do something to make me smile. Whether it's just sitting on my lap curled into a tiny ball, yodeling at the counter because he wants something or running around the house with something he found but shoudn't have, he always makes me smile and laugh.

As for work I would love to ask my boss WHAT THE FCUK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!?! Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy but a terrible manager. He has no clue that we are all miserable because of one person and if he is aware that is even worse because he does NOTHING about it. It's enfuriating and someone has even just given their notice because she can't stand working with said person... it's amazing.

LOVE those wrinkly puppies!!!!!

I am most thankful for two people actually, my dear FH and my Mom. FH keeps me calm and helps me out even though is is overseas in Afghanistan. I mean he can look up stuff via internet, but as far as all the running around and other hoopla, I do it. I'm pretty much doing 98% of everything. He also tells me to 'get that, buy that if that is what you like.'

My Mom is great! She comes by my house and helps me out too, and she also helps me to remember to do things if I forget..

Everyone else can kick rocks! I mean, what is the harm in calling me and asking me if I need any help or anything? I can't stand people who want to give their opinions or thoughts but don't want to even check up on me to see if I'm okay with all of this AND who think they are entitled to come to the wedding!!!!!!!

Awww wrinkly puppies!! Haha!

I'm thankful for my momma. She has been a rock throughout the entire process, I couldn't be luckier!

I'd LOVE to ask my boss 'What exactly about you makes you think you're better than everyone else? You are a glorified secretary, no better than the rest of us!'

I am thankful for my FH (even though he drives me crazy)
I am thankful for my FH, Friends, and Family all being relatively healthy and happy.
I am thankful for my nephew and my second neice/nephew on the way
I am thankful for my parents who are more amazing than I ever knew!

Ok and if I could ask 1 person one question. I would ask a co-worker to please go take a flying leap

I am thankful to be surrounded by such great people, FH, family, future family and friends!

I would ask him what the truth is about the affair I heard he had with someone else at work years ago.. His wife is awesome, it always bothered me that he supposedly did that.

I am thankful for my friends (FH included). My BMs are amazing girls and are always around to help or give advice. A couple of the GMs are pretty great too (do I have to like ALL of them?? ). I love my inner and outer circle of friends!

Since my bosses are FH's parents, this could get nasty...

FMIL: Why do you talk about nothing?? Stop saying so many stupid things and just get to the point!
Also
Why are you so nosy??? Don't ask me questions about a conversation I just had on my cell phone! Why do you think I walk out of the office to talk???

FFIL: Why do you feel the need to tell me about stupid things you just learned about on the history channel? I DON'T FREAKING CARE!

ETA: FMIL: Can you please stop talking with your mouth full? Seriously, it's so gross.

Now for some shoe porn to make me feel better:

Becca-dear.

I don't know how you deal with working for your future in-laws... but... god bless you, child.

I just am picturing you being assaulted with annoyance by Frank and Marie Barone. All day. Everyday.

In theory... I'm like... wow, I'd like to be FFIL's secretary but... then I'm like Hm.. absolutely not . For either of them. No. No. And no.

I've been here 6 years and I'm sure it's taken at least 10 years off my life span. Yeah the money is good, tons of leniency with vacations and days off and I get health benefits, but the trade off is ruining (or has already ruined) how I feel about FILs. I USED to like them.

My ultimate goal is to find something part time in my field (publishing, teaching, whatever) and cut my days here to maybe 3 days a week. That would truly help my sanity.
