last night, saying that my dress is in ALREADY? I ordered it on the 15th....is this normal? It seems REALLY quick. They told me the latest it would be in was June 16th, but I had NO IDEA it would be in in 2 weeks!

What do I do with it now? They said something about wrapping it in a sheet? My wedding isn't for 7 more months. Will it lose it's shape or anything by then?

Yes, put it in a garment bag - not the cheap one they give you there, unless you bought the better one - and leave it unzipped a bit at the top. Then, wrap a sheet around it. Not sure why you need to do this, but that's what they said to do. I have mine in my mom's closet, at her house.
I've had mine since last July!

Do you wrap the sheet around the dress itself before you put it in the bag, or around the garment bag?

Wrap the sheet around the dress, loosely, then put it in the bag.

Re: Got a call from David's Bridal....
they told me to wrap my dress in a white sheet and put it in a garment bag and zip the bag up but to leave about 2 inches of it un zipped, they also told me to store it in a dry cool place away from windows or any sunlight
i had mine like that for about 6 months and i just went and it it fitted and they dress was perfect.

I had my dress for like 1 1/2 years before my wedding. The dress was fine......i kept it in the garment bag (didnt do the whole wrap the sheet around it though) and it was perfectly fine the day of the wedding.

How can they even make it that fast? I had a tailor make a skirt for me once, a basic black A-line, and it took longer than that. Do they just have machines cutting the pieces and then someone just needs to sew them together?

I'm wondering the same thing...it's making me a little nervous. That, and the fact that David's called me 2 days after I bought it to see if I wanted to try dresses on....eek! WHAT?

I dont think they make them. They have a big warehouse where they stock them, and when an order comes in they just pull it off the rack and ship it.

They dont make them. They have them at like the main warehouse I guess and then just send it to the store.....or you buy it off the racks
