I am not having calligraphy done but I think that is a reasonable price. I had a quote for $1 an envelope but I knew someone so I think its good..

they told me it was 1.25 an envelope. I got it done by the wedding coach..they have their calligrapher they use...I think it was computer not hand. I am going to ask them if i pay cash, will they Axe the Tax...LOL

that makes sense... $1.25 x 170 = $212.50 + tax = $230
definitely ask about paying cash to eliminate tax
good price regardless!

I personally think that is way too expensive. A lot of smaller vendors are charging .50 for an envelope and some are including it in their overall invitation costs.
