Got a question ....

I have a question for all of you.... I have had a lot done for my wedding even though it is 18 months away. We are both excited about the wedding. but sometimes it feels anticlimatic....like, okay when is this day going to get here it seems so far away! Does anyone else feel this way? No complaints against each other we get along very well, etc.

I had nearly a 2 year engagement and yes it does feel like 'when will this day ever get here?' at times but TRUST ME - IT GOES BY IN A FLASH!!!

My wedding is now 3 weekends away and I can't believe where the time went. I did a lot early and I worked on wedding stuff all the time but I still feel like I have to skip some things I want to do because time is short.

I totally can relate. We are more than 18 months away...We can't wait either. We also have a lot done. All I can say is enjoy every minute. It does go by fast. I am so excited. I am going to start looing for wedding dresses this week to get an idea of what I like.
What exactly do you have done?

I had a 1 1/2 year engagement and I am now less than 7 weeks away. It goes by very quickly, I promise. And you think you have a lot done but guess what- the last 3 months are SOOO busy. Honestly you are never far enough ahead.

I also had an 18+ mo. engagement and I have felt this same way the entire time. My FI and family think the time has flown but I don't. I keeping saying is this day ever going to come??? It will come...and boy when you hit the crunch time (2 month mark) boy is time flying. Now I keep wishing for more time....

I suggest a vacation somewhere in the middle. Even if it is something small. We did that and it kind of broke up the planning an dsince our vacation in March time has gone quicker!

The time does go by very quickly. I don't know how people do it in a very short period of time. We had a 10 month engagement. We didn't feel overwhelmed planning anything because we spaced things out. I thought it would take forever to get here and now we're only 8 & 1/2 weeks away.

I felt the same exact way! We had a 2 year engagement and I never thought the day would come - but its almost here - this saturday!!! Get as much as possible done now, there are soooo many last minute things to do!

We had a 2 year engagement and yes, with all the planning and how busy we are now, I'm wondering what the actual day will be like.

The time goes fast. Trust me. I'm about 299 days away now. I remember when we were in the 600's.

By the time we get married, we'll have been engaged for almost 3 years (actually we got engaged 2 years ago today!). We've also got a tremendous amount done. Sometimes it feels far off, but honestly I'm enjoying the planning and anticipation! And I can't believe that it's now less than a year away!

i know how you feel......i only have an 11 month engagment and we are still 7 weeks away from THE DAY...

there are times when i want to get the party over with already and just 'be married'...but time did go REALLY fast and i was able to do things at a nice pace....i enjoyed planning and was able to do a lot of research for original ideas and good prices.....

now that it's close i can honestly say 'thank goodness i spent a lot of my 'idle' time preparing for some of the stuff that would come down the road'....

I have 11 months to go and all I have is a church, a hall and a DJ. I am going shopping for dresses with my Mom this wknd, but I am still totally overwhelmed. Not being from Long Island, too, puts me at a disadvantage because I'm afraid I will 'miss' something (a tradition, a way of doing things, etc.) and end up offending someone or pissing someone off.

I know how you feel. We are at our 1 year mark and ALMOST everything is done. But think of it this way, no stress come the actual day. It builds anticipation and you'll be more excited

I have just over 8 months to go and I feel like time is dragging! Every time I mention this feeling I get the standard answer that it will fly by but it is not flying by for me!

I've been engaged since december, and my wedding isnt until April. It's funny that you brought this up, because I told my FH last night that I feel like a kid waiting for santa to come. I feel like I cant wait anymore. My wedding seems SO far away! I know how it feels!

The only thing we have left is to order invitations, favors(chocolate yummy!) tuxes, and GM gifts!

JennBaby - I'm in almost the exact situation. Sept 25 will mark our 1 year engaged anniversary, and I have 7 months to go.

WILL IT EVER GET HERE???
