As of yesterday evening, it looked like Nick Lachey was a no-show at the Kentucky Derby.
Jessica Simpson's official reason for skipping the race was that she's in L.A. working on her album, but the couple had been putting a lot of distance between themselves lately.
He was in Sweden Monday when Simpson attended the Met Costume Gala with designer Michael Kors and was followed out of the party by rumored close friend Johnny Knoxville.
Publicists (not connected to the couple) openly gossiped on the Met's red carpet that an announcement of a split could come as early as next week.
